Survival helps tribal peoples to defend their lives, protect their lands and determine their own futures.

Founded in 1969 in response to the secret genocide of Amazonian Indians, Survival is the only international organization supporting tribal peoples worldwide.  It makes use of public opinion and public action to secure long-term improvement for tribal peoples. To secure this freedom of action Survival refuses funding from national governments and depends on the public for its support.  "We believe that public opinion is the most effective force for change. Its power will make it harder, and eventually impossible, for governments and companies to oppress tribal peoples"

28th August 2010: Family Running Tour  

Thanks to everyone who turned up. What a great day. It was wonderful to see the kids running through Basel and pretty funny to see people's faces as we passed them by singing, jumping and generally having fun.  AND WE RAISED CHF269 for Survival in the process....!  We had someone taking pictures on the route so I'll upload as soon as they are available.
